A recent federal appeals court decision granted transgender workers broadened legal protections under the ADA. So, it's a good time for small businesses to reevaluate their current anti-discrimination policies and to find ways to provide the best experience possible for their trans workers. 

If you're an HR professional, you might remember that about two years ago, a Supreme Court ruling stated that Title VII covered LGBT workers. In short, it prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. So, how is this new court decision different? 

Essentially, the new ADA grants people with gender dysphoria the complete protection of the law, requiring employers to provide access to public facilities and reasonable accommodations.

So, what do these workplace accommodations look like, and how can small businesses implement them?
